anyone using boris w/edius. are the rendering times on the transitions still eternity?how do you incorporate boris into the fx window of edius after you load boris? or does it automatically go there

Someone will correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Boris only works up to version 3.62. No support for ver. 4 or 5.

currently, borisfx is useless in Edius unless you edit DV only

any other project setting will result in flickering renders (wrong field order)

      see below (6 months ago)

      Anton,

I believe we have a fix in process. Just not sure at this point when the next patch will be released.

As & when it is released I'll let you know & you can try out.

      Thanks.

7hbg i am using boris with edius 4.02. jimstamos if i remember correct (since its been a while since i installed it) but i believe i do, boris gets installed as a plugin so you should find it under the video filters and transitions tabs...As for the rendering it takes a while but for sure not an eternity :) . I believe it depends on the system you are working...

Boris Fx 9.21 in Edius v5

during the installation of boris fx 9.2 just mark plug in for edius 4 and the plugin file will be installed in edius5>plugin folder & we can enjoy borisfx in edius5

I haven't seen any issues with running 9.2 on v4.61 and use BFX quite a bit
