Will the batch exporting from EDIUS 4.5 be able to use ProCoder 3?
If not can it be made a request.

EDIT: What was I thinking? You can already do that!!!!!

    Yes and no.

PC3 can export to multiple targets (simultaneously) from a single sequence within a project.

The Batch Export function lets you queue up multiple targets that can reference any In/Out selection of any sequence within a project. The export list is processed one at a time however.

There are some cases where you would like to have both PC3's multi-target feature combined with the Batch Export feature. (e.g. export two sequences or two In/Out selections of a sequence out as both an MPEG-2 and WMV file)

Unfortunately, because ProCoder 3 is executed externally, it is not possible to use ProCoder 3 with Batch Export.

So far, it would appear that the Batch Exporter cannot support the following exporters:

    - ProCoder Express for EDIUS
    - ProCoder 3
    - ProCoder 3 Wizard
    - HDV SpeedEncoder
    - Still Image

Not sure why Still Image is out in the cold. Will have to check on that one..

      Batch List!

I used the Batch Export feature of 4.5x on a current project for about 20 segments destined for YouTube. I can probably safely say it's now my second favorite new feature! (Second only to the "Fade" buttons) I like the ability to change file names and settings prior to export.

Simply a brilliant time saver with lots of potential.

      I have to know...
Can you clear the list, or does it stay with the project?

That is not a big limitation since you can use the batch export from edius combined with the watchfolder feature of PC3 and have the same result (Just a few clicks more)
