i am using edius 3.61. i have recently cleared out some spyware and now edius will not play mp3 files.

when i start up the machine it asks for bqnuhtt.dll file. could this be what is missing? or if you have any other ideas i would greatly appreciate the help.

    thanks in advance,

After spyware etc. better reinstall your PC from the start.
After you reinstalled everything => create an image of your systemdrive just in case the above happens again.

    Good luck!

I think that file is related to the spyware you had (or still have). I don't have it on my system, and I also came up empty when I Googled it, so I don't think it is a common file -- it may be a random file name generated by the spyware to help avoid detection.

        ok on the dll but...

i think you are right on the dll problem. what would cause edius not to allow mp3's to play or even be placed in the bin?

I worked for a computer company and I cleaned spyware off of systems. I can tell you now that if it is missing that file there are others that are missing also.

95% we backed up the drive, cleaned it off, and then re-installed.

Once you are invaded by this stuff it is almost impossible to have a stable system again.
