Right click on My computer, select manage and on the next window on the left side select Device manager, you should see what card you have under Display Adapters when the list is populated.

Right-click on the desktop, and select Properties, (or Nivida if that option is available). Everything about your Video Adapter will be available from there.
Also Right-click the "My Computer" (or "Computer" for Vista) icon, select Manage, select Device Manager, details on the Display Adapter Settings, drivers etc are available here. (Tip: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed from the Manufacturers web site)
