Are there any issues with Nero and E5.01

Having upgraded to E5.01 I have had issues with burning mpeg files usually with audio missing (using Sony DVD Architect). To cut a long story short I tried to remove Nero to see if this was the issue as I read somewhere not to run Edius and Nero. I did this by using the Nero tool which I downloaded. Since Nero has gone I am unable to open any program that has video related.

Before I try reinstalling Nero has anyone come across any issues with Nero and E5?

I had that issue, but that is bacause I had no other application to play TS files, such as Power DVD and the like..........but I think your issue may be the VSTs..Izotope, think that is it.....it mutes the audio, and there are patches on the ProDad site to correct that.....try removing Izotope first, and check to see if you get audio....if you do, then you will know that the problem is Izotope.....make the test first.

I don't think above advice is valid in any way.
Its wrong.
example Prodad Vitascene has nothing do with audio it is a video plugin.

Can you post a a screen shot of your timeline and the export settings you use.
If we have those we can help you.

I didn't think the first reply sounded right so I installed Nero again and will carry out further tests.

What was worrying was that after fully un-installing Nero I couldn't start DVD Architect and when Edius did start it came up with missing files such as Titler ****dll and said I only had 20 days left so advised to insert dongle. The first screen also lost all my default project settings.

Hopefully every thing is back as it were but there must be a warning there when considering to remove Nero.

Don't you do a backup before you clobber Nero?

There are know problems of Nero uninstall messing up systems.
If you google you will get more info and lots of solutions.
