  • DVD Creator re-encoding m2p files

My project settings are dv-avi rendering format. 59.94i,4:3 output format, 720x480,29.97,bottom field. My source footage is VHS NTSC captured with MPEG Capture as a Program Stream .M2P file. Added titles and chapter markers on the timeline no problem. When I use DVD Creator to burn a DVD it re-encodes the file to a .MPG file.
I don't want to encode twice. Is there an option to burn a DVD without re-encoding thru DVD Creator?

The problem is that your project is DV, hence lower-field-first, but the MPEG output will be upper-field-first for compatibility. Try switching to the corresponding project setting with (DVD) in the label.

My only other option for output format with top/upper field was 720x486 59.94i 4:3 but it still went thru the re-encode process.
