Well, the good news is that it's not a hardware problem. But it's definitely some kind of software or driver problem on your non-editing Windows installation.

It has been long time since this post, but after splitting the Hard Drive
( Two Partitions, Two Windows One always hidding )
On the new Partition "Video-PC" NEVER had that problem.
Which tells me that something on the other Windows was causing the
problem.............
I never had that Pop-Up Dialog on the "Video-PC"
However go back to the other partition / pc and the sooner
you insert some video on the ADVC, there goes the pop-up !
