Is there a hardware/software product that GV makes that will allow 5 different images to be simultaneously displayed on five different monitors from one computer/device?

I haven't been able to see how the media edge allows five different images at the same time on five different monitors from one computer...what is the software control...and it seems to me to be an expensive way to go...am I missing something? Maybe I could be pointed to as example where this is done.

It does multicasting (and unicasting) of video across an ethernet network. The clients (either hardware set-top boxes, or software for PCs) pull the MPEG data across off the server and handle the decoding of the MPEG stream.
The server software maintains a database of video content, which you access via a web browser.
