Hi8 to DV(Samsung VP-d371 camera with ADVC300

Hi,

I have some Analog tapes that i want to Convert them to digital signal, so i bought the ADVC300 from Canopus.
I also have DV camera (Samsung VP-d371).
I need your help to do that

The connection between HI8 & ADVC300 is OK because the Analog in light is on on ADVC300.
I connect the ADVC300 to DV camera with firewire cable, how to set up the dv cam to record ?

hi Galem,

you can record on your Samsung cam only if it allow reording via DV connector, ie with DV input capability. User manual usually say how to perform this operation, if allowed.

If not, you can use ADVC300 to convert your HI8 analog video to DV and record digitalized video on a computer, via standard IEEE1394 connector.
