ADVC-55 won't show green status light

I just purchased the ADVD-55 for use on my iMac. I used it with my Hi8 camcorder the day I got it and it worked perfectly with Imovie. I went out and recorded more footage, and now (3 weeks later) I cannot get any video image to appear in my imovie monitor screen. The status light on the ADVD055 stays red. The camcorder is in play mode and I can see the video on the camcorder screen. The cables seem to be working fine b/c I plugged it into my TV to play it and it worked.

Any advice??

Unplug the ADVC from the computer, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in?

Yes I have unplugged all devices a few times and reconnected, restarted etc...still something is preventing the video from transmitting.

Do you have another computer or even a DV camcorder/deck you can connect the ADVC to? If not, it's time to contact Tech Support.

It seam exactly like my problem !
The side led is flashig Green and Red during conversion, and I lost many many frames.
I thing that ADVC-55 have some big problem ...
