ADVC-55 problem recording VHS thru RCA

Ok it's capturing but the probelm I am having is that my canopus flashes red whenever the VHS tape fuzzes up! I use to have another canopus, i believe a ADVC-100 and it was black, but I never had this problem. Is there anyway way to keep it recording even though it gets a tiny bit fuzzy? It's really annoying. I'm using Premier CS3.

Yes, get a Time Base Corrector (TBC). They rebuild the sync signals. Some video players have a TBC built in.
