Picture Controller and OS X Lion compatibility?

Since the most recent release of Picture Controller seems to have been in 2003, is an Intel version of the application forthcoming? Need to continue rely on the ADVC 300. Or maybe there's a different controller application?

...or just log on to your user account on www.canopus.com and register your ADVC-300 in your user account product registry. Then you will then be able to download the software for the ADVC-300.

Once you log in to your user account, look for the link in the left sidebar that says “Product Registry.” Click on this link, and the next page will show you everything in your product registry. If you haven’t registered anything, it’ll be empty. So, click the large orange button at the top of that page that says “Add a Product.” The next page will ask for the product name, serial number, date of purchase, etc. Fill all of this information in and click the large orange “Submit” button. Now that you’ve added an ADVC-300 to your product registry, you will see a link in the left sidebar for “Product-Related Downloads.” Click this link, and on the next page you will see two selectable options: General Utilities and ADVC-300. Click the red “downloads” link under ADVC-300. The next page will have 3 sections, and you'll want the last one, "ADVC-300 Utilities."

If none of the above works, then yeah, contact Tech Support.

Best bet is to contact technical support and let them know your situation - they can possibly arrange your account to include your ADVC300 product, or, they may just mail you a CD.

Kenneally or Chris... I purchased am ADVC-300 and have lost the box and my registration form, and (of course) the disk. (I'm usually not this careless!) I want to download the picture controller software, but cannot see it on the site. I am a registered user of the site, but I didn't send in my product registration card. Is there some way I can fix this and download the software? Thanks!

By all means, yes. Just be sure that you fill out and send in this form after purchasing a used ADVC-300 so that we can add it to your product registry and remove it from the previous owner's account. Once it's registered in your user account, you'll be able to download the software and manual.

    Registration of used ADVC 300

Are second owners of Canopus devices permitted to register and download the software? I'm considering purchase of a used ADVC 300 and the program CD is not included.

I've found an e-mail referencing it. I don't want to get anyone in trouble so if you want to PM me for further details.

Yes it was ... the one that was written by me was written by me :)

But I'm very interested to see if we can get hold of this beta, much better to have the save settings functionality built in.

    Oh, no it wasn't!

Not the one that I am talking about. It was not a separate application. It was an in-house beta of the Picture Controller software with the addition of the ability to save the settings. Someone in Tech Support sent me the beta (which I can no longer find.) I was aware of your application but that is not what I was referring to.

Picture Controller is a TGV (former Canopus team) app. However, unless I'm thinking of something else, I believe the application written to save/restore settings was written by someone else.

Do you mean that a third party did the beta - or the orioginal application? I thought it was one of the team in Japan, with some prompting from UK Tech Support, who made the unreleased update. I have always assumed (wrongly?) that the Picture Controller software was developed in-house by Canopus.
