cable for HDV LIVE events?

hdv mixer n hdv lcd projector are available in this year...could you suggest me what cable is visible for HDV LIVE EVENTS (wedding) HDMI or component?
I heard that 100m HDMI is around 600USD in china now...need help bcause we want to add 1 unit HDV cam but don't know which connector needed (ex.FX1 don't have HDMI..component only..if HDMI is the answer than i must not buy that one)...tx for the help.

This isn't really related to EDIUS...

But you can always use an ADVC-HD50 converter to complete the workflow. Take a long HDMI cable out and use the ADVC-HD50 to turn it into HDV for your projector/mixer?

so r u saying HDMI is the future cables for live events?..then the next hdv datavideo mixer should have hdmi input then? or advc-hd50 is a must?

FireWire (which transports HDV data) is limited in length, much less than HDMI. So it'd make sense to take the live HDMI output out from a camera (eg. AVCHD) and then just deal with it at the mixer/projector end, seeing as you will have more 'rope' to play with.

If the product you're looking at for projection/mixing only accepts HDV FireWire input, the ADVC-HD50 will solve the HDMI->HDV problem.

This would definitely be the solution if using a Grass Valley Indigo AV Mixer. :)
