I have the ACEDVio card and capture into premier - is there a way to view the audio level being recorded as premier has no form of live metering?

If your capture software doesn't meter the incoming DV audio levels, then you'll either need to use an analog meter. Alternatively you could get an ADVC700 or ADVC3000, both have analog input meters.

Scenalyzer (shareware) can capture the DV stream and it has audio level meters.
