  • ADVC110 how do I view the output in Edius?

When using Edius I can’t get the ADVC110 to output to my tv when playing back clips or scrubbing the timeline. I can capture ok. I can view from the timeline using Avid Xpress so it must be working ok. Can anyone help me? Maybe it’s my project settings; to be honest I am not that sure what they should be. I want to use the canopus to capture VHS video footage (pal) to the timeline, edit it and then out put to a dvd recorder through the canopus.
    Thanks in advance

    1. Make sure the ADVC unit is configured to match the project settings (ie. PAL for PAL projects)

    2. Set the ADVC to 'Digital Input'

    3. Make sure that EDIUS has its realtime DV option enabled in the Hardware Settings for OHCI

Just wondering why you're going through compression (to DV), decompression (to analog) and recompression (to DVD) steps to get the video onto DVD (apart from the obvious that your computer doesn't have a DVD burner)?

        Thanks Guys.
I am not sure whats the best way to do what I want.
I do have a DVD burner (does edius burn to dvd from the timeline)? I used to edit in avid then use canopus procoder to make the dvd but it was too much messing about so thought the questes way would be to output to a dvd recorder.
        thanks
        Tony
