ADVC-300 not capturing right channel

Hi there,

I haven't posted in these forums in a long time, simply because I was not having any problems with my Canopus hardware or software.

Recently, my ADVC-300 stopped capturing both audio channels. I am using the same OS as previously (XP, SP2) and have not made any changes to my PC configuration or software.

Is there a way to test whether it is the ADVC-300 or another factor? If it is the ADVC, is there an authorized repair depot in the Toronto, Ontario reqion?

You could try swapping the left and right channel audio cables to confirm it is not a problem with the input source to the ADVC.

If you have (or have a friend who has) a DV camera or deck, then you can set it for DV input mode and "feed" an analog signal from the ADVC to the DV camera or deck to confirm it's not just some funky computer problem.
