ADVC300 & DVStorm2

I just brought ADVC300 and was wondering if I can plug my FireWire from ADVC300 into my DV Storm bay or do I have to purchase and install a different firewire card to get 300 going? Thanks in advance

Providing your DVStorm Bay is currently working with regular DV devices, this is fine.

I take it you're just using the ADVC300 for it's cleaning capability, since DVStorm can handle the analog->DV conversion on its own.

Yes, I am onlyl looking for cleaning capability of ADVC300 as I have some Umatic format tapes that need cleaning.

I use my Storm Bay to regularly connect with cameras and sony deck but when I bring up PictureController software, it is unable to find ADVC device (I switched No8 to on).

Ah I was missing that part - yes, Picture Controller requires that the ADVC300 unit be connected to a generic OHCI card.

So, you can either use the ADVC300 in button mode and make the adjustments on the unit itself, or fork out a few dollars for a cheap 6-pin FireWire card.
