From Trial version of Edius 6.51 to the real one...

Hello,

tomorrow is the day,

i go to buy edius 6.51, i have 1 day before trial expiration,

what can i do no to loose my presets, masks, set up, and everything...

im anxious !

You don't need to do anything, use GV License Manager to activate the trial using the key that you get with the non-trial version.

keep in mind that an activated trial is missing all the DVD menu styles and manuals etc

True, but there is still no need to uninstall and reinstall. The manual and DVD menus can be downloaded from the support site after logging in:

EDIUS Software v6.5 Reference Manual (French) Released: 2012-06-28 Download the electronic version of the EDIUS Software v6.5 Reference Manual (French).

EDIUS DVD Menu Style (v1.00) Released: 2012-06-28 This package contains artwork templates and styles for use with the EDIUS v6.5 software's DVD and Blu-ray Disc authoring feature.

thanks, i dont have any dvd menus but a lot of presets i really dont want to loose, im just a little bit nervous when i read some post like this

"Hi, everyday I've got this warning that my Edius will expire in a less than two weeks. I've never use trial versions on this PC. I install 6.5 and used the serial number provided, then activated it successfully, then updated to 6.51 and now the license manager shows that I've got two 6.5 and one 6.51, One license for 6.50 is permanent the others versions are trial. I've attached the screenshot, what should I do. I need to be sure that editing will work

i dont know how license manager work, i just have to copy and past a serial ? no dongle ? please more infos on this.

Got to happen....this version has some real issues...that license manager..very picky and fussy....needs an open mind...if that is possible

i had edius 6, so i bought the upgrade 6.5,
they told me to install edius 6.5 then i will have to enter the serial of my 6 version, then i will to download the patch of the 6.51 on gv website ?

is that correct ?

dont want to install edius bad.
