Default USB Licence Key

I think My USB License Key is not working.
I fired-up Edius and is telling me you have 30 day left!!!
I was not sure it was Edius because i thought it might be one of the plugins.
I changed the computer date to 2013, and edius is telling me that it is expired.
When i tried to maybe solve the problem by reinstalling update 6.06, it is telling me please insert the usb key to continue.
The LED on the key is showing red light, although i changed its place to another usb port.
Please Help.

Why did you change the computer to 2013? Must be in a rush. ;-)
If you changed the USB slot, did it say it was installing a new driver? If that still doesn't work, go to Aliddan's website and download the HASP driver. http://www3.safenet-inc.com/support/....aspx#latestDD

Yes when I changed the port it did install drivers and it said the device is working fine, ready to use.
I will try to download that driver from that link.
and thank you for your swift reply.

When I installed the new driver Nothing changed.
My big question is can information inside the key be corrupted?

When you installed the latest driver, did you remove the USB dongle first?

Re-boot the PC without the dongle, then insert the USB licence key (dongle) then start Edius.

It might be a faulty dongle, but try this method first.

I really do not know what was the problem.
It might be some driver or hardware glitches.
After installing actually all drivers i could find on the net and rebooting more than once, and starting Edius more than once in the same session, it finally started and its business as usual.
Many thanks to all who replayed, Hoping it will not occur in the future.
