Quicktime options usually depend on the version of quicktime installed on the machine- and what other codecs are installed that quicktime works with- not on edius itself.
That said: I've never had the option of .flv export from quicktime (as opposed to mp4/h264- which plays in flashplayer when renamed .flv :)) Would like to know how you got that.

what i do is select QT and chech the "enable conversion" box and choose a preset, then, i can re-set the attributes of the .flv in the next window...

Default Make FLV or F4V files

I export to avi and pick up in Adobe media encoder CS4, it makes a nice job of flash.

Flash export does not come with EDIUS, but if you install a third party encoder, then you can select it within EDIUS

but, why would you want to? thanks to apple dropping flash support on all i products, flash is dying worldwide

Flash and MP4 make a great combo on the desktop for both PC and Mac for interactive applications, service manuals, and digital signage etc. Flash player 9 and above uses h.264 in MP4 wrapper natively so there is no need for FLV or F4V formats any more unless you are encoding keyframes to trigger events. So Edius H.264/AVC encoder for MP4 will work just fine for use with Flash9 and above or HTML5 as will any H.264 encoder such as X.264.

Application programming for iOS and Android can still be done in Flash via Adobe Air but devices need to run on ARMv7 processors as a minimum.

Best
Dave.
