Default Help me with capture settings for sony z7

Hi,
Firstly, I'm new to edius 5 so be kind.
I'm having troubles connecting my sony z7 camera to capture hd footage (wanting to capture via firewire, footage is 1080i50).

If anyone knows the correct preset settings that would be great as I've been trying to work it out myself and I'm going bananas.

It's proberbly a simple thing I'm not clicking on, but thought I'd ask here whilst I continue trouble shooting.

Capture>Generic HDV-Input> Set frame size to HD, frame rate to 50 and then choose preset Canopus HQ 1440x10850i

We are always kind here, aren't we :)
Open a project OHCI 1080i50, select codec (HQ or MTS) and capture, it's that simple.

The trouble you most likely have right now might be related to the in-camera settings, sony cam's, out of the box, mostly are set to HDV out "AUTO", Edius gets confused and give's a grey screen but with deck control.

make sure the setting (in-camera) are HDV for hd capruring and DV for sd capturing.
Also iLink conversion for HD(V) footage needs to be set to OFF.
